if it has stock gearing (3.73) you will be able to pull the pin out and then the c clips. If it has 4:56 or 4.88, then when you pull the screw from the pin, twist the pin 90* to get the axle to slide into the grove in the pin and remove the c clip. either way, no need to remove the spring.

my 96 was not adjustable. just put cyl 1 at at top and point distributer to that wire.

the axle is still sitting there with the gears in, but not correctly setup yet. I kinda lost interest/ got busy for a while and now it's too cold to work on them. (Yea, I'm a big wuss when it comes to being cold. I Hate Being Cold!!) Hopefully this spring this one will get done and I can start to lo...

I never noticed that one. But I greased all those fittings on the joints on that January day when it was like 70 degrees, so it must have happened after that.
