My thought is why dump that kind of coin into a d30? I feel like if you're going to do more than a lunchbox locker in a 30 you should just go ahead and start hunting a 44.
Beat it to fit. Paint it to match.

I run a lunchbox in my 30. I daily drive it in the winter as well. If you drive like you have some sense you will be fine. I wouldn't suggest cruising down the highway in 4H, but if you're going that fast did you really need 4WD? J-rod runs an ARB in his 30 maybe he will chime in on this.

Marv is correct. I run an ARB in mine. It is sleeved and gussets and Poly BJ too. I have had very good luck with mine.

I agree with Marv. My TJ isn't s daily driver but it still sees more pavement than dirt. I haven't had any issues with my Aussie in the front, you just have to drive with some sense.

My axles should be for sale relatively soon depending on how soon you're wanting to upgrade

Had a Aussie in the front of my XJ and loved it. No problems but you do get "whats that clinking sound".....

From Zack's research, can't do a lunchbox or auto locker in a 2012+ JK, puts it in limp mode. And i'm too cheap for full axle replacement.

I may just suck it up, and wait until a few days down the road.

In my Tj I run an Eaton E Locker and really like it. Perfect for a DD IMO.

You cant do an auto locker in the REAR of a 12+ JK, at least not until the factory transmission software is cracked. The front you can lunch box away. If your going selectable id suggest an OX. no air lines to leak, no internal o rings to leak, no drilling into your housing, no need to buy an on board compressor, you can manually engage/disengage it in an emergency, and you get a beefy buttocks cover with it.
If your not crawlin, you must be mallin.

Second the OX

If I hadn't wound up with the Prorock, that's the way I would have gone.

Ever considered a Detroit Tru Trac in your Dana 30?

I know it's not a "real" locker, but it provides a lot of traction. It is also mechanically driven so there are no clutches that can wear out.

Just a thought..........

I really wish that someone would make a true locker, that reverts to a LSD when not locked. When I had my TruTrac in the rear my Tj was unstoppable in the snowy weather. Was defiantly way smoother than running with the rear ARB locked..
