New Rig

Post by dagr8tim » Tue Sep 22, 2015 6:42 pm

Just picked up a 98 TJ with 4 angry squirrels. I got a pretty decent price considering the mods. This is full on Mall Crawler. The guy bought it for his son afew years ago who went away to college and it's not a good "college car".

The frame is solid and clean for a vehicle of this vintage. The interior has been rhino lined, after market head unit with amp and sub behind the rear seat, factory sound bar, basically brand new 33's, aftermarket hard top and a safari top.

Future plans are to get rid of the ugly buttocks rims, and maybe throw on a set of TJ Canyons I have kicking around. Playing with the idea of either selling the winch or mounting it to my XJ. Playing with the idea of selling the bumpers and throwing on a set of stock TJ bumpers. My goal is a light trail rider and a summer cruiser. I've got my XJ for wheeling. Plus this will give me a chance to take the XJ and start modding it for non DD duty.

I dunno. I have no clue what they are now, but off the top of my head, I dunno $400. I really also need a 5th 15x8 TJ Canyon. I'm keeping the tires, or atleast $800 for all 5 rims and tires (spare matches the other 4).

If you use the canyons you may need spacers with 12.5" wide tires.

Sorry, don't know how my post ended up in your thread.
06 TJ, rusted out frame, fenders, and tub. Rocking a 6" body lift.

Why am I such a prick? Everything is relative, you should meet some of my friends.

Building a capable off road Jeep is easy...building a street legal one that you can drive two hours away to wheel and then drive to work the following morning is the challenge.

I didn't think about the tires being too wide. :-(

I hope to start doing some mods this weekend.

I've got a set of stock front and rear bumpers for a TJ already. I may be interested in your canyons. How many do you have?
