I didn't have a chance to meet Matt personally. But I'd like those of you that did to share your pictures, video's, and memories of him.

Building a capable off road Jeep is easy...building a street legal one that you can drive two hours away to wheel and then drive to work the following morning is the challenge.

Matthew was my only child. he is my pride and joy. His jeep accident was just that. He was driving to school on February 1, 2010, when he veered off the right hand side of the road and over corrected. he was not using his cell phone, driving erratic or drinking. He was just driving. He lost his battle on February 5,2010. He was an avid sports player and had many friends. he never met a stranger. His jeep was his pride and joy. He had big pland to build it up. I was in 100% support of him in making his jeep dream come true. Now he is living that dream in heaven. I am sure he has all the ANgel girls lined up wanting a ride as he did here on earth. Matthew always wore his seatbelt. But for some reason his seatbelt was not on the day he wrecked. I and his friends like tho think he did. You see Matthew would not let anyone ride with him if they refused to put their seatbelt on. He would tell you to put it on or walk. I ask that all jeepers wear their seatbelt even if you just going down the raod a little ways. Matthew was 2.2 miles from our house when his accident happen. He was an organ donor and has helped 7 others to have life. I ask that everyone become a donor. Matthew's theary was that he would not need his organs in heaven so why not help someone else. God bless each of you and always keep you safe. Martha Johnston. Mother of a fallen jeeper Matthew Steven Johnston.

I never met Matt but I attended the Memorial ride this year and recieved an orange key chain that has the buckle up reminder on it. My 6yr old noticed it and I explained what happened and that the keychain is a reminder. Now EVERY time that we get into the Jeep and Alex is with me he asks each individual person is he/she is buckled up....

:bigthumb:

That is the only thing I have on my JK Key. I buckle up in the JK every single time.

Thanks for the reminder Martha
