So sorry to hear this Tom. I got the privilege of meeting and wheeling with Mike a few times and he was always great to me. Treated everyone like he'd known them for years.. He will be greatly missed.. Prayers to you and your family

One other thing about Mike. Although he was quite the character, he dearly loved my kids (his granddaughters). Kayden, my oldest, was very attached to him. Even though he really hasn't been well for a couple years, the hardest part of these final days has been trying to explain his (eventual) death to my kids.

So, hug your kids and your grand kids. Cause you really never know when those hugs might be the last ones.

I've known Mike as long as I've know you Tom. We first wheeled together long ago when you Tom were scared to get a scratch on the ole XJ. That just tells everyone how long we've all hung out. Mike was rev limiter 100% of the trips. I didn't want to 1 ride shotgun or 2 be in front of Mike. :) I did once ride shotgun once or twice and man it was a crazy ride. I think I walked more helping him out of the problems he worked himself into than I did riding. :) Mike will always be talked out out on the trail and will be very much missed. Prays for you Tom and the family. If I can do anything just let me know.

Mike died this morning surrounded by his family. He is in a better place jumping his frog over rocks in the sky.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers. I will post up arrangements when they are finalized.

Tom

Building a capable off road Jeep is easy...building a street legal one that you can drive two hours away to wheel and then drive to work the following morning is the challenge.
