Issues
« on: January 29, 2019, 03:20:41 PM »
Figured I'd start a post where we can mention issues we find in the new forum.

1. I received my Welcome email and the subject was just "Welcome to".  May be a config setting somewhere to put JeepinWV or JeepinWV.com in.
1a. The return address 'forum@jeepinwv.com' just says 'forum' in my gmail.  May want to configure a name like JeepinWV Forum for that gmail account.

2. Can CAPTCHA be disabled for posts?  That will honestly annoy me enough to not post something, especially if it says I typed the wrong characters.

Note: Not trying to be a pain, just trying to make things right.  jawest12, you know I've been there.  :D

Not a pain at all, that's exactly why we wanted to start with members first.

1. Will add customizations shortly, good suggestions.

2. Let me check the captcha. It should be off.

A new issue. Using chrome on my iPhone, I click on the three lines and get the menu with Home/Help/Search/Profile/etc but only Home and Search work. The options with submenus don't display the submenus or go anywhere.

Yes, those are a problem with the current theme. However, we liked the overall look of it. And how well the rest of it displays on a phone. You can still get to your profile from a phone by scrolling down to your user info at the bottom. Then clicking on your name.

We are going to have a more subdued, simpler theme available once I finish editing it. For those that want a different look. And need that extra menu functionality on the phone.

I just haven’t got that far yet. Once I do, I’ll post up instructions for everyone on how to set their themes.

We are trying to stay very light on plugins. So that we can stay as up to date as possible without breaking mods, or being held up due to one.

I rarely use my phone for forum browsing, so it's not a big deal to me, but thanks for the workaround!

Using Tapatalk everything seems fine. When I look at the website from my phone the forum piece seemed tough to navigate the 5 minutes I’ve tried. Haven’t looked on a PC yet.
