“Drive line will be hosting our 2nd annual rocks n road challenge on June 10-12th 2022 @ Good Evening Ranch Off road Park. this, once again is an event for our customers to show appreciation for doing business with us! So as long as you are a DLS customer (its never too late to become a customer, we also drop ship), have a rig that fits the categories below, & a teammate, you can enter the challenge. this is a true dual purpose event, vehicles must be trail worthy and street-able: hence “the rocks n road challenge”
there will be a $100 entry fee per rig, this will enter you to win $1000.00 top prize in your class or maybe a warn winch along the way. your goal will be to complete 2 trails on a time trial basis and 1 road adventure (not timed, just required). This event will start and finish at G.E.R. Make sure to call and book your cabins or camping spots soon! They have restaurants on the ranch that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
This year there will be 3 classes:
small tire class: up to 35″ tires
big tire class: up to 40″ tires ( anything over 40″ will have to run with spv class)
spv class: WV special purpose vehicles (no utv’s) **go to https://transportation.wv.gov/DMV/Vehicle-Services/Pages/Special-Purpose-Vehicles.aspx to see regulations that apply for this class. we will follow wv guidelines and you must have the permit.
for small tire and big tire class your rig must be road legal and be able to verify up to date sticker, license, insurance. Classic tags are welcome but must follow inspection rules. Tires must be at least 1/2 covered by body or flares (yes, state laws require full tire coverage, but there is some leniency depending on inspection station), all lights must be working, DOT approved tires only, we will be tech inspecting but will not have time to check wheels make sure your lug bolts be tight!! We highly recommend F/R lockers and all entries must have a capable winch. Again the road portion is not timed or a race, its just a required portion of the challenge that you must complete without being towed or you will be disqualified.
spv class: must be able to verify spv permit and insurance. we have been asked and yes you can switch tires out to run road portion of the event.
we believe a steady pace will win this race. your spotter could make or break you, choose them wisely. picking the right lines and conquering the obstacles will be the key. remember you have to complete 2 trails and the road portion so making smart decisions will get you to the end.
Trail #1 will take place on Friday. The road adventure and Trail #2 will take place Saturday, all weather dependent, subject to change. all trail times will be documented by a member of our staff and combined for final results. if all goes well we will give out prize money Saturday evening.

we are capping each class at 15 entries. if we get more than 15, we have decided to give the O.G.s that supported our first r&r event dibs if they so choose. for the rest of the entries if need be, we will vote via facebook likes. You can start submitting your entry Monday March 28th via https://www.facebook.com/drivelineservice you can do this by either video (which we highly recommend: see last years videos for example), or if you are camera shy send a photo of your rig! *** remember before entering you must be a drive line customer, this is a customer appreciation event!
