WV Coal Festival, Inc. was founded in 1994
The original and the only festival in West Virginia which honors their Coal heritage.
June 22 thru June 26, 2021 is a SPECIAL WEEK in the City of Madison and Boone County as we roll out the red carpet for our many visitors who are here for the 27th Annual West Virginia Coal Festival. The five-day event is great time to get together to celebrate coal mining and it’s heritage. We’re proud of an industry that originated in Boone County where coal was First Discovered in Peytona in 1742. We are pleased that you joined us on Facebook and we hope you make this an annual event. Have fun, enjoy the free concerts, tour the Coal Heritage Museum, and stay for the beautiful fireworks.
Please see attachment for schedule of events including the parade that the West Virginia Jeep Club was asked to participate in!
